The economy weekend

Saturday 17 & Sunday 18 Sep, 2016
Your facilitator is Lisa Mead

In the economy dimension we will learn about right livelihood – how to bring economic life into alignment with ecological values. What are the key elements for the creation of resilient local economies, and which are examples of successful non profit and social enterprise models? How can we create community currency systems as alternatives to money, such as gift economy, LETS, timeshare and local banks? We will explore solutions on how the global economy could be more just, resilient and sustainable. Lisa Mead is faculty member at Findhorn College, and facilitates the one week economy dimension at the EDE at Findhorn.

This weekend will take place at the inspiring St Margarets House in Bethnal Green. Please note lunch is not included. The Gallery Cafe has a selection of delicious vegan and vegetarian food, and pot luck lunch is encouraged as well!
